I was scrolling through FB yesterday when I came upon a photo I took last October for a client and sweet friend. I stopped for a sec, commented, and realized that I had yet to blog this session, which is a travesty because it was most definitely one of my favorites. When she had contacted me last summer, she shared with me what she had in mind for her photos. And while she didn’t have a location or a backdrop in mind, as I listened to her I knew immediately where I wanted to take their family. It was going to be a little bit of a trek and right at dawn so I was worried she would say, no. But to my pleasant surprise, she and her family were completely game!

I got there before they did right as the sun was rising. It was such a treat for me to sit there, alone, listening to the waves crash and in awe of God’s creation. It was breathtaking and I love this photo but it doesn’t do any justice to the real thing.

Sure, the sunrise, the weather, the ocean and the pier were awesome. But what  I loved most about this session was this family. There was just so much love, joy and an comfortable, happy ease about them. They were in the moment enjoying each other and I was just lucky enough to get to be there to capture it all for them :)

Just a quick note, if you’re interested in an October beach session, believe it or not, now is the time to book! Contact me for more information! :)
