A few months ago, I was fortunate enough to attend my superfriend (yes, that is a word!) Michele Anderson’s PinkleToes Workshop for Photographers. I have attended this workshop before, and while many things were the same, there was still so much more I took away from this last time.

Michele is such a wonderful person to learn from. For one, she just doesn’t hold back. If you ask her, she will share willingly. Watching her speak and answer questions from the other attendees, it is clear to me that she genuinely wants you to succeed and thrive in your business. From the time you sign up to weeks after the workshop, no detail is left out and you know that you’re going to leave with so much information you’re not going to know where to start. Which is exactly what happened to me 😉 I am still reeling from all the new things I learned!

I didn’t really get to take a whole lot of behind the scenes shots while I was there – I was helping Michele with a project while attending the workshop. So sadly, this is all I have. Here is Michele prepping us for a dreamy maternity shoot on our last morning.

Before this shoot, we were given some cards at random with creativity exercises on them that we had to incorporate into this quick session. I loved this exercise! There are many times after a session when I realize that I could have tried something that I didn’t or was afraid to. This quick little exercise reminded me that all it takes is five minutes. Five minutes to try something new, something different, something for you. I’m not exactly sure what I had on my cards but this is what I ended up with.

This last one was my favorite. One of the other attendees was working with our gorgeous model when I left to take a break. I turned around before I headed inside and had to take this shot through the trees. Our mom-to-be was just so lovely.

So if you are a photographer and have been wanting to take a workshop, or even if you’ve taken this one already, GO! You won’t regret it. And if you’d like to see more behind the scenes from this workshop, check out my friend Nicole Leonard Photography – Louisville, CO Lifestyle Photographer and follow our little blog circle 😉
